Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is hidden from view by native vines and river stone as it is perched high above the plains inside the crater’s rough rim. Its torch-lit walls are decorated with stylized cave art and are framed by arched stone corridors and timbered decks.

A blazing fire is kept perpetually burning at the lodge’s stone center. Around the rim of the Crater, rooms are looped. Each has its own balcony that is encased by rocks, and they all have unobstructed views of the volcanic amphitheater far below.
