The Serengeti ecosystem’s Nyikani migration camps relocate twice a year to provide visitors the best possible view of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. The migration passes through the Ndutu region from December to March.
Just south of Serengeti National Park in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is where you’ll find Ndutu. The location of the Nyikani migration camp offers quick access to the best places for watching wildlife around Lakes Ndutu and Masek.
In addition to the nearly two million zebra and wildebeest that pass through the region annually, cheetah, lion, giraffe, and hundreds of bird species call Ndutu home. The wildebeest have 8,000 babies born each day in February during the calving season.
