‘Siringit’ a Maasai word standing for the endless plains is where the word Serengeti was derived from. Serengeti Ecosystem cover more than 30,000 square Kilometres including Serengeti National Park proper, Maswa Game Reserve, Grumeti, Loliondo and Ikorongo Game Controlled Area.

Serengeti National Park is one of the three UNESCO Seven Wonders of the World found in Tanzania. (The other 2 are Ngorongoro Crater and Mt. Kilimanjaro).

The Great Migration of more than 1.7 million wild animals is not the only thing that you will experience; Serengeti is the home of the big 5 (Lion, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant) and other animals such as hyena, giraffes, impala, zebras, warthog and so much more in abundance.
